Vanilla Air is not an airline you can book in 2026. Flights under the Vanilla Air brand ended on October 26, 2019, and its network was transferred into Peach as the two airlines integrated. What happened to Vanilla Air?
ANA Holdings announced in March 2018 that Peach and Vanilla Air would be integrated with Peach as the surviving platform. Peach and Vanilla later published a route-transfer plan stating that Vanilla Air operations would end on October 26, 2019 and that Peach would gradually assume parts of the former network.

Why old Peach-versus-Vanilla tables are unsafe now
A historical comparison can explain how the Japanese LCC market developed. It cannot tell you what a current ticket includes.
Do not use an old table to infer any of the following:
- a Vanilla Air flight, schedule or fare still exists;
- a former Vanilla route is still operated by Peach on your date;
- old Vanilla baggage allowances were inherited by Peach;
- former seat dimensions, meals or service policies apply to a Peach aircraft;
- an old Vanilla membership, voucher or points rule creates a current Peach benefit;
- pre-merger punctuality data predicts a particular 2026 flight.
Routes, fare products and add-on charges can change independently of the merger. The only reliable evidence for a new booking is the itinerary currently offered for the exact date, airport and operating carrier.
What “Peach vs Vanilla Air Osaka” should mean today
For a 2026 Osaka trip, replace the obsolete brand comparison with four current questions:
- Which Osaka-area airport is shown? Kansai International Airport (KIX), Osaka Itami (ITM) and Kobe (UKB) are not interchangeable. Add airport-transfer time and cost before comparing totals.
- Who operates every flight? The seller’s logo is not enough. Record the airline shown after “operated by,” especially on connections.
- What does the selected fare include? Price the bags, seats and change conditions your party actually needs.

The current cabin-bag framework is up to two items per passenger, including personal belongings, with a combined weight of no more than 7 kg. The qualifying cabin bag must meet Peach’s size rule. Checked baggage is a separate inclusion or paid option depending on the fare type; fees also vary by route and by where and when the bag is added.
