On Disney Cruise Line you do not pick a dining room each night. Rotational dining sends you through 3 themed dining venues, with pre-assigned arrangements included in every booking and the same dedicated team looking after you. When you arrive, your restaurant schedule and table number appear in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Dinner runs in 2 assigned seatings, 5:45 PM and 8:15 PM. The adult-exclusive restaurants (ages 18+) are the exception: they cost extra and replace that night's rotation dinner, and Disney's pages list no dollar price for them.
How rotational dining works
Disney's rotational dining FAQ describes it this way:
- Every guest visits each of the 3 themed dining venues.
- On sailings longer than 3 nights, you visit an assigned venue more than once.
- A dedicated service team learns your preferences and caters to your needs each night.
- You get your schedule and table number in the Navigator app on arrival.
- Children's menus are available in all the restaurants in your rotation.
Disney's pages name a few venues as Main Dining restaurants inside the rotation: 1923, Worlds of Marvel and Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. They do not mark the other venues, so this guide does not guess which three you will get on a given ship or sailing.
Dinner times and changing your seating
Per Disney's dinner-times FAQ, dinner has 2 assigned seatings: 5:45 PM and 8:15 PM. Times may vary by up to 15 minutes.
The 8:15 PM time is assigned automatically when you book online. You can find your time in your booking confirmation email, in My Reservations and in the Navigator app. To change it:
- Open the "Dining" section of My Reservations and select "Change Seating".
- If your preferred time is full, select "Join the Waitlist Now". Disney confirms that you are on the list.
- Or ask through the Navigator app, or at Guest Services once you are on board.
If your dining time changes, Disney sends an email confirmation.
Which restaurants are on each ship
Disney's dining list names these venues for each ship. The list does not say which venues are in the 3-restaurant rotation, so read it as a menu of what exists, not as a nightly schedule. Four entries on the list are typed Live Shows & Entertainment, not Dining, and are left out here: Adventure Tea with Royalty, Olaf's Royal Picnic, Royal Court Royal Tea and Royal Society for Friendship and Tea.

Two venue pages and the list say different things, and Disney's pages do not reconcile them. The table above shows the list.
- 1923. The 1923 page says it is a Main Dining restaurant "on board all Disney ships". The list shows 1923 only on Wish, Treasure and Destiny.
- Worlds of Marvel. The Worlds of Marvel page names Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. The list, and the Character Experiences list, name Wish, Treasure and Destiny.
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is on Disney Wish; the page and the list agree. One spelling differs: the list writes "Mike and Sulley's Flavors of Asia", the Premium Dining FAQ writes "Mike & Sully's", and the dress-code page writes "Mike & Sulley's". This guide uses the Premium Dining FAQ spelling.
Adult-exclusive and premium restaurants
Disney's adult-exclusive dining FAQ limits these restaurants to guests 18 and older. It lists Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement on Disney Wish, Disney Destiny and Disney Treasure; Palo Steakhouse on Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny; Palo on Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy; and Remy on Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. The last column of the ship table above shows the same names.
Disney's Premium Dining FAQ adds 2 premium family-friendly restaurants on Disney Adventure only: Palo Trattoria and Mike & Sully's Flavors of Asia. Reservations are required for all premium dining, and minimum age restrictions may apply. The dress-code page says minimum age restrictions apply at Palo Trattoria.
How it works
- Reservations are required. The adult-exclusive FAQ says you can make them online or on board.
- At an adult-exclusive restaurant you skip that night's regularly scheduled rotation restaurant.
- Adult-exclusive dining is not included in the cruise price, and additional fees apply.
- If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the reservation, or you do not show up, Disney treats the reservation as confirmed and puts 100% of the per-person prix-fixe cost on your folio.
- This cancellation rule is on the adult-exclusive FAQ. The Premium Dining FAQ gives no cancellation rule for the two Adventure restaurants, and neither page says whether those two replace that night's rotation dinner.
What it costs. Disney's adult-exclusive dining FAQ and Premium Dining FAQ list no prices. The adult-exclusive FAQ says the restaurants are not included in the cruise price and additional fees apply, and it sends readers to the booking and pricing page, which also lists no restaurant prices. For a price on your sailing, look in your own My Reservations account, or call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Eastern time and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern time. Guests under 18 need parent or guardian permission to call.
Booking windows. The adult-exclusive FAQ has a "pricing and booking windows" link that leads to Disney's "Activities to Book Before Your Cruise" FAQ. That page does not name individual restaurants. It says that once you have paid in full and your booking window opens, you can reserve activities and see their pricing online, and most carry an additional fee. Your window depends on your Castaway Club level: first-time guests 75 days before sail date, Silver 90 days, Gold 105 days, Platinum 120 days, Pearl 123 days. Concierge guests get 130 days through Shoreside Concierge Services, or 123 days for online booking.
Dress code
Disney's dining dress-code page separates three cases.

Theme nights are separate. Shorter sailings may have an optional dress-up night with dressy attire suggested. Longer sailings may have one formal and one semiformal night, both optional.
What the fare includes and what costs extra
Disney's What's Included page splits food and drink like this:

Room service has its own rules. Disney's room-service FAQ says many items are included in the cruise price, fees may apply for certain items and deliveries, and a gratuity is at your discretion. On the final night, room service runs until 1:30 AM.
Two Disney pages word the drinks point differently, so here are both. Disney's pages do not reconcile them.
- The What's Included page lists all-you-care-to-enjoy soft drinks, coffee and tea on deck and at table-service restaurants.
- Disney's drinks FAQ says soft drinks are free with meals and at the beverage stations. It says bar drinks, beer, wine and bottled water cost extra, and so do sodas and alcoholic drinks at the bars and lounges. It does not mention coffee or tea. At the teens-only lounge Vibe, soft drinks are free and smoothies cost extra.

Character dining on Disney's pages
Disney's Character Experiences list has 22 results. Four are typed Dining:
- Animator's Palate: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream and Disney Adventure.
- Animator's Table: Disney Adventure.
- Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure: Disney Wish.
- Worlds of Marvel: Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. Disney's Arendelle page files it under Dining, Character Experiences and Live Shows & Entertainment, with breakfast, lunch and dinner as meal periods. It invites guests to celebrate the royal engagement of Queen Anna and Kristoff. You eat Norwegian-inspired dishes and join Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf for a gala with food, entertainment and Frozen fun. It is a Main Dining restaurant within rotational dining on Disney Wish. The page's main text gives no price, seating schedule or reservation rule.
Worlds of Marvel. Disney's Worlds of Marvel page opens by saying it is a Main Dining restaurant within rotational dining on board the Disney Wish and the Disney Treasure. Both lists also show Disney Destiny.
Animator's Palate and Animator's Table. The Character Experiences list types both as Dining. Disney's pages give no detail on what happens at either.
Reservations. The Disney pages used here do not say whether these four venues need a reservation. The booking-windows page says complimentary character experiences such as Royal Gathering can be booked 30 days before sail date, and that Royal Gathering on Disney Adventure can only be booked on board in the Navigator app. That is a statement about Royal Gathering, not about dining.
Breakfast and lunch
Disney's breakfast and lunch page says both meals are served at various venues across the fleet, including some of the themed rotational venues and casual restaurants. Quick poolside meals for breakfast and lunch are available on all ships. Hours differ by day and venue, so use the Navigator app once on board for specific hours.
Dietary requests and food allergies
Disney's dietary FAQ says table-service restaurants offer gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy-free menu selections. To make a request before sailing, use the matching form in My Reservations.

For Passover, Disney can also provide Seder ceremonial plate ingredients if you want to hold your own Seder; the same 10-week deadline applies.
Which should you choose
- You want the simplest setup. Do nothing. Your rotation is pre-assigned. Read your schedule and table number in the Navigator app on arrival, and if you booked online, keep the automatically assigned 8:15 PM dinner seating if it suits you.
- 8:15 PM is too late. Go to the Dining section of My Reservations and choose "Change Seating". If your preferred time is unavailable, choose "Join the Waitlist Now".
- You want an adults-only dinner. Sailing on Wish, Treasure or Destiny, Disney lists Enchanté and Palo Steakhouse. On Dream or Fantasy it lists Palo and Remy; on Magic or Wonder it lists Palo. You will skip that night's rotation restaurant, and the fee is additional.
- You want an upscale dinner with children. The adult-exclusive restaurants are limited to guests 18 and older. Disney lists family-friendly premium dining on Disney Adventure only: Palo Trattoria (minimum age restrictions apply) and Mike & Sully's Flavors of Asia.
- You want a Frozen or Marvel meal. Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is on Disney Wish. Worlds of Marvel is on Wish, Treasure and Destiny on Disney's lists; its own page names Wish and Treasure.
- You need kosher, halal, Jain or allergy-friendly meals. Use the dietary table above and send the request before the deadline for your type.
- You want to know what a restaurant costs. Ask through My Reservations or Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532. Disney's dining pages list no restaurant prices.
