Seven cruise lines publish a 2027 world cruise, and the table below lines them up. The voyages run from 110 to 180 days. Every dated one leaves in January 2027, so some sail within about three months; check availability line by line. This guide lists no fares, because prices and promotions change. The last section explains how to ask for a quote.
Oceania's voyage details and all Regent details come from press releases hosted by their parent company, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings; Oceania's deposit and cancellation terms come from its help-centre pages. The lines' own sites may carry other terms. A dash in a table means the page or release named does not mention the item, not that the line lacks it.
Which lines sail a world cruise in 2027, and where do they go?
Each row is what the named page shows. Other lines also sell world cruises; they are not compared here.

Two rows need a note. Crystal gives two end dates: the page header says 8 January to 27 May 2027, and the benefits terms on the same page say guests disembark on 28 May 2027. Both are shown as written. Viking's 2027 itinerary page names no ship and gives no sailing date in its text; it lists 63 ports and has a "Dates & Pricing" section.
As each page counts them: Holland America 53 ports in 28 countries; Oceania more than 100 ports in 46 countries; Regent 71 ports in 40 countries; Silversea 80 ports in 35 countries; Princess 61 destinations in 20 countries; Crystal 84 destinations in 28 countries.
Other sailings on the same pages
- Oceania, in the release for its 2027 voyage: a 244-day "Epic Global Adventure" (Miami to New York) and a 127-day "Continental Explorer" (Miami to Doha). Regent: a shorter 126-night Miami to Rome (Civitavecchia) option of the 2027 World Cruise. Viking's overview page: three more itineraries of 125, 153 and 170 days, with no sailing year.
- 2028: Silversea's "An Ode to the Moment" (Miami to Monte Carlo, 5 January to 16 May 2028, 132 days); Regent's "Legends of the Pacific" (Los Angeles to San Francisco, from 5 January 2028, 133 nights); Princess's 2028 world cruise (115 days from Ft. Lauderdale or Los Angeles).
- Holland America's 2026 Grand World Voyage left Ft. Lauderdale on 4 January 2026 (133 days; release, 6 January 2026). It has sailed, so it is context, not a choice.
Can you sail only part of a world cruise?
Some lines say yes. For others, the pages cited are silent.

What does the fare include?
Pages come from different years. Each row follows the page named.

No page cited lists what a Holland America world cruise fare includes. Princess's Passage Contract defines the Cruise Fare in general terms (the cruise, scheduled meals, onboard accommodation, and any air or other components added to the booking); it does not list a separate world cruise package. The contract says the Cruise Fare does not include beer, wine, spirits, sodas or other bottled or specialty beverages, the discretionary Crew Appreciation, or required Service Charges on optional purchases.
Details behind the table:
- Regent. One release gives two versions of the flights: first-class as a world cruise extra, business-class round trip in the boilerplate. The later release (23 April 2025, for 2028) puts round-trip flights with a choice of air class, transfers and a chauffeur service under the "Ultimate All-Inclusive Fare". Read this as wording that changed between releases, not as today's rule.
- Silversea. The 2027 page also lists a $1,000 onboard credit per guest (up to $2,000 per suite) and a visa package for guests from 20 listed countries, including China, the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia. The 2028 page differs: a $500 credit (up to $1,000 per suite), business class air only with the All Inclusive Plus fare, and medical services capped at $1,000. The FAQ says certain shore excursions, land programs, visa costs, travel insurance and selected air arrangements may cost extra.
- Oceania. The "Exclusive Prestige Package" is an offer in a March 2025 release and may have changed. It adds a free visa package and free luggage delivery to the "Your World Included" amenities, which include all gourmet specialty dining.
- Viking. The itinerary page lists port taxes and fees as included. The Passenger Ticket Contract (last updated 29 September 2026) says in article 4 that the fare excludes fuel surcharges, exchange-rate effects, airfare and government fees such as port head taxes, which Viking may pass on; its definitions say gratuities are not in the fare. These are two documents, shown side by side. An offer for bookings made 1 to 31 October 2026 shows free business class airfare plus transfers and complimentary visa service, for US residents only; the air promotion covers round-trip flights from selected Viking US gateways.
- Crystal. The terms give up to $1,500 per person toward airfare if you buy through Crystal, or a $500 per person credit if you arrange your own, plus a $1,500 per person shipboard credit that cannot be used for gratuities charged to your onboard account. Benefits are for guests on the full voyage only. They include one complimentary consultation with the onboard doctor per guest; medications, extended treatment, shoreside treatments and routine exams are not covered.
- Princess and Holland America. Princess's early-booking perks applied to bookings made by 31 October 2025, which has passed. Holland America's April 2025 release mentions early-booking extras. Neither is an inclusion.
How big is the deposit, and what are the cancellation rules?
Four lines publish figures. The others do not on the pages cited.

Extra rules inside those pages:
- Oceania. Optional extras have their own cancellation fees: pre- and post-cruise hotel and land packages, 100% within 90 days of departure; visa packages, 100% within 60 days. The deposit page also lists 20% for Owner's, Vista and Oceania Suites or $500 for other categories on standard bookings, and $1,500 for "Grand Voyages"; the 180-day figures in the table come from its separate "180 Days Voyages" section. The cancellation page does not name the 2027 voyage in its "Around the World Cruises" table. Both pages were updated before the voyage went on sale on 12 March 2025, so confirm the terms for your booking.
- Princess. Segments of up to 44 days use another table for bookings from 2 September 2026: final payment is due 120 days before departure; 120 days or more before departure costs the deposit unless you upgraded to a refundable deposit; then 25% of all Items at 113 to 119 days, 50% at 91 to 112, 75% at 61 to 90, 100% at 60 days or fewer.
- Holland America. A specially priced promotion with a non-refundable deposit gets no refund of that deposit. If the promotion makes the whole fare non-refundable from payment, cancelling gets no refund or credit of the gross fare. The optional Cancellation Protection Plan is separate: Standard lets you cancel for any reason until 24 hours before departure, with a refund of up to 80% of the total cruise vacation cost; the page calls it a non-insurance service. Standard excludes permanent residents of the United Kingdom. Platinum lets you cancel any time before departure, with up to 90%, plus insurance benefits underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company, as the page says. The plan page limits Platinum to US and Canadian residents (not New York state, Puerto Rico or Quebec); the cancellation page names US residents (not New York state or Puerto Rico).
How far ahead should you book, and when did these voyages go on sale?

Advice from the lines: Princess says world cruises typically open two years ahead, recommends booking 12 to 18 months ahead, and says most of its world cruises sail in January or early in the year. Silversea says to book as early as possible for the best choice of suites and preferred segments, and its 30 June 2026 blog says world cruises have been known to sell out more than a year in advance.
Can you sail a world cruise alone?
Viking's offer fine print for bookings made 1 to 31 October 2026 mentions single supplement savings off applicable rates, a promotion term, not a rule. Viking's fine print and Princess's world cruise page give listed fares per person, based on double occupancy. No page cited gives single-supplement amounts, single-occupancy rules or single-cabin availability. Ask for a quote with your dates, as explained in the last section.
Are visas, insurance and flights part of the booking?
Visas. Visa rules depend on your passport and on each country on the route. The pages cited give no visa list for any passport, so none is given here.
- Silversea: guests are responsible for their documents; its blog advises a passport valid for at least six months beyond the end of the voyage. Its 2027 page lists a visa package for guests from 20 listed countries, including China.
- Princess: guests are responsible for obtaining visas for each country visited and should check entry requirements for each stop early.
- Visa help as stated and possibly changed since: Viking's promotion to 31 October 2026 (complimentary visa service), Oceania's March 2025 release (free visa package), Regent's 23 April 2025 release for its 2028 World Cruise ($100 shipboard credit for visa costs).
Insurance. Silversea's blog recommends cover for trip cancellation, medical care and emergency evacuation; Princess says insurance should cover international care and medications. Viking's Passenger Ticket Contract says travel protection coverage and trip cancellation insurance are strongly recommended, and Holland America's cancellation page strongly recommends travel protection, including for emergency evacuation. Holland America's Platinum plan lists emergency evacuation or repatriation up to $75,000 and medical and dental expense up to $20,000. That is a feature of one product, limited to the residents named above.
Flights. The fare table shows which pages list air. Princess's world cruise page also has a section on Princess EZAir flights. Silversea's FAQ says selected air arrangements may cost extra.
