Hong Kong Disneyland lists 8 themed lands and Disney characters. Ocean Park lists animals, giant pandas, an aquarium and thrill rides. If your group wants characters and fairy-tale themes, look at Disneyland first; if it wants animals and pandas, look at Ocean Park first. With small children, check the height limits before anything else; the height table below covers 11 rides. This guide uses what the parks, the MTR and the Hong Kong Tourism Board say. It does not rank the parks or compare ticket prices.

What each park offers
Hong Kong Disneyland
The park lists 8 lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point and World of Frozen. The Hong Kong Tourism Board page highlights:
- World of Frozen, which it calls the world's first and largest, with the Frozen Ever After boat ride and Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs.
- Rides and lands: Hyperspace Mountain, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!, "it's a small world", Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point and the Iron Man Experience.
- Live entertainment: Festival of the Lion King, Mickey and the Wondrous Book and Moana: A Homecoming Celebration.
Ocean Park
The Summit holds Thrill Mountain (Hair Raiser, The Flash, Whirly Bird, Bumper Blaster, Rev Booster), Marine World, Rainforest and Polar Adventure. The Waterfront holds Aqua City, Amazing Asian Animals and Whiskers Harbour.
Animal exhibits the park lists include The Grand Aquarium, Shark Mystique, Pacific Pier, Dolphin Explorations, Sea Jelly Spectacular and the South Pole Spectacular penguin exhibit. Other attractions include Ocean Park Tower and the Ferris Wheel.
Pandas. The Giant Panda Adventure (Waterfront, Amazing Asian Animals) lists giant pandas Ying Ying and Le Le, their Hong Kong-born twin cubs, and red pandas. A second exhibit, Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures in Aqua City, is home to giant pandas An An and Ke Ke. The Giant Panda Adventure page says exhibit areas can change with crowd flow and animal conditions. Ocean Park's attractions list says the Sichuan Treasures animals may stay in back-of-house areas during a session, and guests then watch them on a camera feed.
Tickets and ticket types
Disneyland's online ticket FAQ lists a General Admission Ticket and a Child/Senior Ticket. Ocean Park sells General Admission tickets by age group. The two parks define "senior" differently.

Hong Kong Disneyland tickets
Disneyland's FAQ adds that guests must be aged 18 or older to buy tickets online, and that JoyYou Card holders may buy a 1-Day ticket at HK$100. This guide does not quote other Disneyland day-ticket prices. Current prices are on the Ticket Types & Prices page, and the site also keeps a Ticket Tier Calendar.
Ocean Park tickets
Ocean Park's Admission Ticket page lists General Admission prices of HK$538 for an adult, HK$269 for a child and HK$100 for a JoyYou Card holder. The ticket page and the park's FAQ cover these rules:
- One price per category. The ticket page lists no separate peak-day price.
- Validity. A ticket is valid for 180 days from the date of purchase.
- What is included. The fee covers most facilities, but not skill games or coin-operated games.
- Children. Any child aged 11 or below must be accompanied by an adult aged 15 or above.
- Re-entry. Ask staff at the turnstile for a wristband, then show the wristband and your ticket to re-enter the same day.
- Special events. The ticket page says specific events need separate special-event tickets.
- Hong Kong residents. Residents also enter free on their birthday, with an advance online reservation. Both free-entry offers (age 65 or above, and a resident's birthday) are for Hong Kong residents, so most visitors will not use them.
Ocean FasTrack is a separate priority-access pass, and its page lists the same price for adults and children. Standard costs HK$320 for 7 priority accesses from designated rides and attractions. Pro costs HK$580 for all priority accesses from designated rides and attractions, including The Flash and Bumper Blaster. The page also sells Halloween versions that apply only on the Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2026 event dates (9-11, 16-19, 23-25 and 30-31 October and 1 November 2026). Halloween Standard costs HK$380 for 7 priority accesses from designated rides, attractions and designated Halloween Fest attractions. Halloween Pro costs HK$620 for all priority accesses from designated rides, attractions and designated Halloween Fest experiences. The regular Standard and Pro passes are not valid on those dates.
Opening hours and closures
Hours and show times change by day, and both parks say they can change without notice. For your own date, use Disneyland's day calendar and Ocean Park's park calendar.
Closures, notices and shorter hours:
- Disneyland's day calendar for Sunday, 4 October 2026 lists Festival of the Lion King, Rafts to Tarzan's Treehouse, Tarzan's Treehouse, Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad (Main Street Station) and Orbitron as closed for refurbishment. The same page says Toy Story Land, Mystic Point and Grizzly Gulch close at 6:30 PM on 10 and 11 October 2026 for a private event.
- Ocean Park's pages, including its park calendar page for 4 October 2026, say North Pole Encounter is closed. Ocean Park is redeveloping it into a marine mammal conservation centre, due to reopen in the first quarter of 2027. The Giant Panda Adventure page lists hours of 10:00 am - 5:30 pm, an hour before the 6:30 pm closing on the park-information page. The pages also say the Ocean Park Hong Kong App has been suspended since 1 July 2026.
Height and age limits
Limits decide which rides each child can use. The table copies the parks' own figures.

Disneyland lists "it's a small world", Frozen Ever After, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Cinderella Carousel and Dumbo the Flying Elephant as "Any Height".
Whiskers Harbour (Waterfront) is where Ocean Park says each ride is crafted to suit the size of its smallest guests. The park lists Balloons Up-Up-And-Away, Merry-Go-Round, Toto the Loco and Castle of Redd there. Its attractions list gives no height figures for these four.

- Fares and journey times. MTR's Trip Planner shows the fare, recommended routing, estimated journey time and first and last trains from your starting point.
- By car to Ocean Park. The Aberdeen Tunnel toll is HK$8 one way. The park car park charges HK$35 per hour, up to HK$210 per day, on non-peak weekdays. On Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and peak days it charges HK$55 per hour, up to HK$275 per day.
- Other routes. Ocean Park's pages list public bus routes and cross-border coaches. Disneyland's pages list bus, taxi, car and cross-border bus.
Can you do both parks in one trip?
The official pages cited here do not say how many days to plan for the two parks, and none gives a travel time between them, so this guide does not set an itinerary. What to look up depends on your group:
- You want an evening show. Disneyland's day calendar lists the park hours and the "Momentous" time for each date. Ocean Park's park calendar lists its opening hours, and its park-information page lists the day's programme times.
- You travel with a toddler or small child. The height limits above show which of the listed rides your group can use, and each park's calendar gives the hours and show times for your day.
- You want both parks on one day. Ocean Park's ticket page calls its ticket "a one-day adventure" and says most of the attractions and shows can be enjoyed within a single day. The two parks' reservation rules differ (see the At a glance table). The MTR Trip Planner shows the journey time between the two.
